Connor Gillis is a nationally certified interpreter with a Master's degree in Interpreting and Translation from Gallaudet University. He's specializes in interpreting for Deaf professionals in high level management positions within tech companies, the public sector, and other professional fields. In addition, he has been called to work on location for tv productions, product launches, and live tv interviews both nationally and internationally.

He learned ASL organically through his work working with the Black Deaf Trans community in Atlanta, GA, to whom he will always be grateful. They encouraged him to go to Gallaudet, and he was the only student in his class admitted to Master's program that wasn't already a working in the field. After graduation, he worked for several years professionally in Washington D.C. for federal agencies, and then moved to NYC where he was the ongoing interpreter for the Office of the Mayor. During the pandemic he traveled the country and provided services to under-served communities while also continuing to work remotely for D.C. and NYC clients. He also took advantage of the down time by attending a software engineering bootcamp, and completing a short stint as a software engineer. Love brought him to the Bay Area, and his background in engineering has led to his current work with tech companies in the South Bay.

He's always available for pro bono work that will benefit the Deaf transgender community.

When he's not working, he can be found trekking and rock climbing, practicing Soto Zen Buddhism, and cooking.
